Hey, welcome back to the Creature league news! A lot of stuff have happen these past weeks. The Creature League tried to set up there own server but so far not a lot of progress had been made. But some screenshots were taken of the server and of our recent screenshots on how the league is doing so far.

Furthermore, a lot of updates have been made on the website and we hope you enjoy them. Be sure to check out the update on all the pages of the creature league. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to send us feedback on the contact page.

Due to the creature league news being a few weeks behind, we will now split the updates changelog notes from the creature league news. This way you can stay up to date with the most recent changes on the website. Also, a new bugs page will be added in the next updates of the creature leauge website where a glitch, typo, etc. that are known by the creature league are listed and will hopefully be fixed. You can provide feedback on the bugs in the submission boxes below on the bugs page which will come up in the next update.

Repetition is key. Not really, we just lazy to write more content so copy pasta is the best.

Moving parts of the Pokemon Showdown forum back to Smogon

Hey guys,

You'll probably have noticed there are no longer general discussion forum on Pokemon Showdown. Recently, we decided that it would be best for the community to locate our discussion forums on Smogon, the premier site for Pokemon on the internet. Please don't be intimidated by the size of the new forums; they're easy to get a grasp on and if you need a hand, please send a message to any of our Moderators or any Pokemon Showdown staff member.

We will still be hosting the Discipline Appeals subforum on the PS forums. This is due to the single sign-on system we have there, which simplifies appeals making for a better end-user experience. Additionally, the Pokemon Showdown general discussion will remain there, as well as the News subforum, which will also be sent to you as part of the weekly news upon logging onto Pokemon Showdown.

Here, we will be hosting the Bug Reports, Suggestions, and Simple Question Simple Answer threads, just as we have been. Additionally, please feel free to be posting your own threads relevant to Pokemon Showdown, including mini tournaments and the like.

Please note, however, that we won't be allowing the creation or hosting of leagues on Pokemon Showdown or the forums here; you will need to do this on your own webpage.

We hope that this move won't inconvenience you too greatly and that you enjoy being closer to the premier competitive Pokemon community as we enter the 6th generation!"

Recently, Zarel has fixed lag on pokemon showdown by making some load balancing changes that will hopefully improve performance and help with the lag situation. In addition Blaziken and Deoxy has been ban from OU to Ubers.
Blaziken and Deoxys-N Quick-Banned from XY and PokéBank OU.

The OU council has concluded that Blaziken and Deoxys-N, two Pokémon allowed initially in XY, will be quick-banned from both current XY OU and PokéBank OU. This means that there will be no public vote; the council has simply decided that this is necessary. Both have been preeminent threats since XY's inception, and are detrimental to the balance of the tier. Blaziken is simply a monster sweeper. Its power is unparalleled, being virtually impossible to counter or even check if the player lacks a Talonflame or Azumarill on his or her offensive team. Defensive teams can opt for Slowbro, defensive Gyrados, or in PokéBank Jellicent, but these Pokemon just are not cut out for any other team in this metagame. With the addition of Baton Pass to its movepool and thus the ability to passed the boost it gains from Swords Dance and Speed Boost, it can pass to a teammate that could handle it.

Deoxys-N is also way too powerful for OU to handle. Its dual 150 offenses in addition to Speed give it plenty of power to work with, and a devastating STAB Psycho Boost as well as a list of coverage moves that goes on for days make it virtually impossible to handle with any Pokemon—conventional or not. Deoxys-N was so obviously broken that there were some people who did not even realize it had been excluded from the initial banlist in the first place. It was not a Pokemon OU could adequately deal with in any way. Therefore, it was banned.

Actual suspect tests will likely not begin until PokéBank OU is released, so these will probably be the last bans until that time. Stay tuned for the latest XY!
